Happy Monday! It was another glorious weekend of sports consumption and if you were too busy enjoying a few suds and missed the action, we’re here to break it all down for you. We start out in the desert where the Bucks are now one win away from winning the NBA Finals. The greatest rivalry in all of sports had some classic drama over the weekend in Yankee Stadium, Collin Morikawa adds another major trophy to his golf resume, there was a PLL All-Star Game and Team USA is looking strong in the Gold Cup. Let’s have a great week, Blitzers!

While LeBron James isn’t starring in the NBA Finals, he is starring in Space Jam 2 which debuted this weekend and did $31.7M in 3,956 theaters – the official Blitz review is that MJ’s Space Jam is 10x better, and the rest of media seems to agree absolutely roasting the movie

Oklahoma Sooners sign Malachi Nelson, the #3 QB in the 2023 High School recruiting class – Arch Manning, Eli and Peyton’s nephew, is #1 in that class and destined for greatness, check out his highlight tape

Tadej Pogacar takes home the Tour De France title for the second consecutive year after Mark Cavendish was denied a record 35th stage win

    NBA Finals

Game 5: Milwaukee Bucks 123, Phoenix Suns 119 (MIL leads series 3-2)

Despite another 40-point outing from the Suns’ young phenom Devin Booker, the Bucks were able to walk out of the desert Saturday night with a win to put them one win away from an NBA Championship – they were down 0-2 in the series and have now won three straight
Giannis Antetokounmpo (32 PTS, 9 REB, 6 AST) continues to show why he is a two-time MVP winner – if only he could hit free throws!
Jrue Holiday (27 PTS, 13 AST) helped set up the play of the series stealing the ball and tossing an unbelievable ally-oop to Giannis for a ridiculous slam to seal the game with 14 seconds left
The Suns need to find a way to stop the Bucks on offense and especially Giannis driving the ball if they want to win the title
Game 6 is tomorrow night in Milwaukee at 6:00pm ET on ABC.

A win for the Bucks at home would secure their first NBA Championship since 1971 when Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson helped them defeat the Baltimore Bullets
Giannis is on pace to win the MVP Award, but Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday have been extremely impressive
If the Suns win Game 6 the series heads back to The Valley for an electric Game 7

Jordan Spieth (-13) was right on his tail all day Sunday shooting a 66 but was never able leap in front of him on the leaderboard – took home $1.2M in prize money
Louis Oosthuizen (-11) was the leader heading into the final round, but he fell apart shooting a 71 Sunday and yet again fell short of a major title – Check out the final leaderboard here
